Anyone use one of the "tube" type inserts with a blower for a zero clearance wood burner? It's a Marco, which is no longer made, out of business.. Says right on the tag not to use an insert. (sealed stove type) Was going to buy one that would fit but perhaps not. Had a fireplace/chimney business come over for an estimate, $11K!!! to remove and replace with a Buck zero clearance fireplace. Said can't legally put an insert in the Marco. Thinking not something to play around, burn the house down and or insurance issues if a problem happens. It burns like a Mother** leaves nothing but fine ash with seasoned Oak. Also doesn't do much to provide heat, all up the flue. The tube thing is about $1K for a 6 or 7 tube, just wondering if it is worth looking at, not many reviews on them.
