I'm up to 3 sheds. Over 2 feet of snow now so not looking at all. Just picked them up by my cornfield. Deer on the trail cam have all shed out. As soon as we get some melt off I plan to burn up some boot leather

We caught a nice chunk of the Nevada Muledeer migration this week south of Elko and saw at least 500 deer and the bucks still had antlers. It was amazing to see herds like that in this country. There were some really nice bucks and all the deer looked healthy and enjoying the mild winter and bright sunshine.

I just looked out the back door and there was a small 6 point walking around about 15 yards away that still had his.

It appears that about 50% of the bucks around here have shed, according to pictures on trail cameras. We keep them running until mid March just to keep track of what’s left after the season and which ones have shed their antlers.

If we live long enough, we all have regrets. But the ones that nag at us the most are the ones in which we know we had a choice.

I was chasing coyotes in south-central KS last week. Every stinkin' one of the bucks seen was still sporting headgear. frown

Boy and I cruised the backroads this evening for a half hour. Saw around 100 deer. At least 15 bucks were still sporting headgear. The only half rack was a spike, didn’t look close enough to see if it was shed, broken, or never grew.

Just saw a smallish 8 point out my back window eating lunch with the local does. He still had his headgear.

I saw a 5x5 whitetail yesterday morning that still has both sides. Fairly unusual for this part of the country.

Won't find any antlers off of these freeloaders. The deer are getting hungry and have pretty much lost their fear.
