I have a savage mark ii 22 lr that I want to build into a long range training rifle but I’m having a hard time finding a chassis for it. Has anyone here found anything?

Accurate rifle systems has a RH version. Might be worth a call and see if they'll do a special order LH one.

I put a lefty Mk II in a chassis from rigidalloy.com. Not a big name in the rifle chassis world.

Not one of the prettiest chassis out there, but worked as advertised. Price is right, too. Note that depending on what you want to do, you may also need their Rifle Stock adapter. With my MkII, I saw an average of 0.3" smaller groups at 100yds vs. the thumbhole stock that came with the Savage. Not a huge improvement, but consistent. I hadn't done any work on the thumbhole stock prior to putting the chassis on, at some point I need to pillar and bed that thing. I didn't find the chassis comfortable to haul around the woods after squirrels at all, but worked great on the range.

I replaced my thumbhole Monte Carlo with a Boyds Rimfire Hunter. I could never get a good sight picture in the scope. The Rimfire Hunter has made all of the difference. I can now get a good mount and have the same sight picture time after time. Forgot to mention mine is a LH 17 HMR with stainless bull barrel. It had been in my local Gander mountain store before they went belly up. Salesman said they'd had it for 3 years, make an offer. I played the well I'm right handed game. I'll give ya $150. He played the I'll have to get my manager game . The manager came out he didn't try to play a game and told me I could have it and thanked me for taking it off of their hands. Someone ordered it and backed out. He even threw in two boxes of gamepoints.
