. . . Hiding from ducks and deer probably doesn't transition well to military strategy.
Actually, that's great experience for taking out enemy troops that are unfamiliar with the terrain and can't see and smell and hear like a duck or a deer. They'll be looking for the cul-de-sac commandos wearing all their "operator " gear that they wear at the gun range, and that are strutting around the subdivision. They won't be looking in the bar ditch for a senior with a 1966 vintage pawn shop deer rifle Stay a LRRP stay alive

I am thinking the same way. A lifetime of skills developed hunting and shooting surely has value.

If even half of the number of people stay who say they are going to stay we would vastly outnumber any invading force. If just the number of hunters of each state decided to fight an invading force our hunters would vastly outnumber any invading force. It's to the point if each man was given an order to go out and kill one of the enemy the war would end relatively quickly. Our media keeps telling us there are 300 million guns in America. Not even close. The media surely doesn't want people with guns to really know how many guns are our there. I would bet that since the GCA of 1968 a billion guns have been purchased one way or another, Trillions of rounds of ammo has to be in peoples homes. In World War II France the allies flew over crates of small rough handguns to the French people, called Liberators. They had a round in the chamber and another 3-4 (I forget) in the grip. Their instructions were to kill a German and take his rifle and ammo.

Let them leave, they'd probably be useless anyway. Just 38% less to take care of.
I sure could go for some $2.50/gal gas and a mean tweet!

Its funny really.. If you remember that old quote from the German general lamenting that shooting the officers didn't slow down American units, just made them meaner and quicker. We'll if we were invaded today and the Russians got our commander in chief, there would be a lot of Champaign and Vodka shared with the Russians before the hostilities commenced.
But make no mistake, the Hostilities would commence, and me and every kin in my family would be as dedicated as the volunteers in the Alamo.

I would have trade my F-14 for an AR , a Garand or a 40-XB. I think any invader would have a tough time around here, assuming some folks survive.

Didn’t read the whole thread, but reading some here and some there, I’ve got to ask; if the Russians invade (and make it East of CA), are we supposed to fight them or join them in order to free ourselves of our installed gov’t? Have a free election as soon as the Russians happily go back home? Is Putin the aggressor there or is he just trying to rid the world of the deep state?
I’d fight somebody I guess, but it’s confusing to be on the ‘Fire sometimes……

There’s a Lenin statue in Seattle so I’d at least let the Russians take Seattle first. Realistically Putin and his pro borders anti LBGTQ or whatever it is mentality would be way to conservative for Seattle.

I’ve a few long-range rifles. Hopefully I could snipe a few before they would take me out. My kids are about raised and if it came down to it; that’s a lot better way to go than dying a long slow death in my old age. Run? Where the hell can you run to? If the chicoms invade, it would probably be from the north at Trudope’s invitation. 54-40 or fight. Them fuggers wouldn't be welcome here!! They would be too busy looking for a way to escape Canadian defenders. Jeff

When the time comes I have to fight for my country, I seriously doubt any Russians will be involved.

The Quinnipiac University poll was taken in Democrat run Connecticut (richest state per capita in the USA) so I didn't read any further than that but I will stay and fight.

And where do these 38% plan on running to?
