Cool. I saw bald eagles almost every day when I lived on the Cook Inlet in Kenai during one summer, but I never did find a nest. Also saw Belugas on the regular.

Very cool. I see eagles quite a bit perched in some trees overlooking a bay here. Have no idea where they nest. Looking forward to some more of those cool pix.

We have balds also.
,,,and the Osprey are back (about a week now).
Yard is littered with fish heads.
Ospreys can be damn mean to the balds...
We don't mind... I prefer Ospreys.

Nice pics... you are good with a camera

Notice the feathers on the golden go all the way to top of their feet. Most years the Balds hereabouts are back by the Ides of March but only had one last week on the wolf bait on the lake in the front yard. I know of at least a dozen nests but generally have to wait until 1st of July to see the young—they are generally standing on the nest and wing flapping by then.

Those things are a giant PIA if you have chickens….or a hatchery. 😉 Or Trout in a pond. No idea why they’re the national treasure most folks seem to think they are. We have a season on Turkey and let POS eagles be protected. Coyote with wings, Fugk em.

Great pics. There’s a nest about 5 minutes drive away. I’ve watched them land on the river and pick minnows off of the ice tossed from bait buckets. Scavengers for sure but they serve a purpose and look better doing it then a turkey buzzard.
