So bring on the turkey, potatoes, casserole dishes
'Cause I ain't messing around with them buttoned up britches
Can't get my skinny jeans on, but don't feel sorry for me
'Cause I just tried everything, and I'm going back for round 3

I got my stretchy pants on (stretchy pants)
I got my stretchy pants on (stretchy, stretchy)
Hey, Spandex and Lycra, you better work it for me
'Cause I'm about to expand this band of elasticity
I got my stretchy pants on (stretchy pants)
I got my stretchy pants on (stretchy, stretchy)

Screw you! I'm voting for Trump again!

"He found them that evening in a tavern in town in a quiet little out of the way place
And they smile at each other when he walked through the door
And they died with their smiles on their faces
They died with their smiles on their face"

Back through the years I go wandering once again
back through the seasons of my youth

And I turned twenty-one in prison doin' life without parole
No one could steer me right but Mama tried, Mama tried
Mama tried to raise me better, but her pleading, I denied
That leaves only me to blame 'cause Mama tried

Are past “best” and just onto good, yet?

When i was a young man
About 21 years old, ya’ll
All i wanted was a stripper girlfriend
And a goldtop Les Paul

Be careful of the things you wish for
You just might get ‘em.

This tall drink of water walked in like
she might have to shoot her way out

Take the ribbon from your hair
Shake it loose and let it fall
Layin' soft upon my skin
Like the shadows on the wall
Come and lay down by my side
Till the early mornin' light
All I'm takin' is your time
Help me make it through the night

It appears you’re looking for trouble

Trouble is what I try to shun

But if it’s trouble you want

Then trouble you got

Cuz mister were both wearing guns

Always thought this George Strait lyric was gold:

A thousand dimes
A thousand times
He doesn't mind, what they say
He fills the jukebox, then plays the same old song
He fills his glass, and then he turns her memory on
But it's a fool hearted memory…

And though it’s not country, the Weird Al lyric in the song “One More Minute” is pure genius:

'Cause I'm stranded all alone in the gas station of love
And I have to use the self service pumps

😂😂

But I'm as good once as I ever was.......I "used" to could say that, but the "used" to's are getting fewer and further between.

I would dedicate this lyric to a growing number (unfortunately) of 24HCF members and sock puppets.....

Morons abound, and the lack of limits here means that they get equal billing with ordinary guys. And if their time here is unlimited, as some evidence suggests, you'll not get ahead of them by being offended and trading words.

And maybe keep in mind that even amongst regular guys there can be a world of difference between what they consider funny, tasteful, or allowable.

This is a country music thread. Do I get offended when guys post about Steve Earle on it? I just ignore the commie little [bleep]. Maybe the guys who like his brand of music have something better to contribute on coyote calling, or rimfire rifles?
Kind of like walking in a pasture. Green grass everywhere, but there's a reason to watch where you step.
