Well I broke over and got a wildcat whisper .22 from gammo. After figuring out how to adjust the horrible 90 pound trigger. I tried 2 different pellets. All the post I read said JSB Exact jumbo heavy would do the best. Actually the best groupers were the cheaper Crossman premier ultra magnums, at 14.3 grs. they seemed to hit harder. Someone at the range had thrown away a small 3/4 full can of breakfree missing the nozzle. I sat it on a cross tie laying down to simulate a squirrel size object on a limb at 35 yds. Hit dead center were I was aiming, can exploded off the cross tie pellet size entrance, 3x that size exit hole. I was impressed by the power and accuracy. I think I will be using it to squack hunt with.

Ya gotta love when the rifle likes a cheap and available pellet! I shoot a lot of the Crossman pellets too.
I keep trying to justify a PCP but you can do so much hunting with a decent break barrel, why bother?
Sorry, I don't have any clues on how to adjust the trigger weight to an appropriate level but shooting it a bunch will smooth it a bit and you'll get more used to it.
Are you using the package scope?

I've got one in .22 and like the Crosman pellets too. As far as the trigger, check out the Charlie da Tuna web site. I installed one of his triggers and it was like the difference between night and day. I used a bar clamp and a socket for a spring compressor....easy peasy.

Changed the scope first thing to a vortex crossfire 2 3-9. There was a you tube video. It showed simple changing a screw to help with the trigger. After shooting it a bit I did realize they are "Hold" sensitive to get the best accuracy out of one. Still working on that.
