Good stuff. I'll use mine to about 200 I'd say. more likely 50 metres where I hunt.

Yep!

Just bought a .350 Legend rifle last week. It's a lot more interesting than I expected, for several reasons....

Hahaha

That is a cartridge that we should know more about. Down & dirty - is it any good?

So far I am far more impressed than expected--and haven't even fired the rifle yet!

There will be an article in HANDLOADER....

Starline used to make small primer 45/70 brass and Buffalo Bore used it in some of their loads. If you are inclined to go that way.

I’ve seen good to great results with the 222/223 and 7TCU. Really about anything works fine for deer, if you can shoot.

One year I used a 27"(gave me 2900fps) barreled Mod 700 made up in the 6mmx47 (.222 Magnum necked up) with 85gr Barnes XBT.I killed an Axis doe then a big Axis Buck. Next day I killed a Scimitar Horned Oryx one shot (base of neck) at 184yds. Sweet little round.

A suppressed 350 Legend would be a skookum whitetail woods rifle

Where do I find the best deal to subscribe to "Handloader" and "Rifle" magazines?

Guys that shoot 1000 yard matches with 308s tend to load balls to the wall and the case heads hold up better.

Not true. Small Rifle Primers in a 308 tend to yield more consistent velocities which translate into holding elevation better. Something that shows up in long range shooting, but not so much at the shorter ranges.

...plus the case head surrounding the primer is not where you're going to see a case let loose first.

.357 Remington Maximum. That's the one I use. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ It's hell on deer and I have yet to catch a bullet in one. If I could legally use the .30 BR, 7mm BR, or 6mm BR on deer in Iowa, those would be at the top of my list as well.

Pre-Palma brass, many F/TR competitors I used to shoot with routinely ditched expensive (and prepped) Lapua cases at ~5 firings, some people with particularly hot Berger 210gn Loads after three firings. Nobody annealed cases as expanded case-heads as the case-heads expanded before shoulders / necks showed problems. Come Lapua 'Palma' cases and with annealing case-life is at the 20 firings mark for some people I know, and loads are hotter / MVs higher than they were pre-Palma.
