It's nearly identical to the (1917) 7.65mm French Long, which was a French adoption of a round developed in the US, but never much used in the US. It's so similar, in fact, that if you can find any of it (apparently still available in France), it will function just fine in any gun chambered in .30 Super Carry.
You really have to wonder why they didn't just resurrect the 7.65 French Long.
Star-line has been making the French Long brass for a few years. I load it for a French 1935 A I’ve got. I think the Super carry is loaded to much higher pressure, kind of like .38 Auto Rimless Smokeless vs .38 Super.
In 1889, Charles H. Duell was the Commissioner of US patent office. He is widely quoted as having stated that the patent office would soon shrink in size, and eventually close, because…
“Everything that can be invented has been invented.”

.30 Super Carry has a ring to it, an appeal to the masses. 7.65 French Long is antiquated and sounds stupid for a chambering in a modern fighting handgun. Nobody wants a 7.65 French Long except maybe some French women.
Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.
.30 Super Carry sounds like a name that Kimber could have come up with. Maybe they will chamber it in their Custom Rapide Pro Carry Raptor Ultra CDP Covert Aegis Elite.

The ear-gauged, man-bunned, skinny jeans and plaid shirt-clad, ironically bearded hipsters would not be interested in "7.65mm French Long". But call it "Super Carry" and they're all over it! Will be perfect for their "EDC", along with their "slip joint" knives, "tactical handkerchiefs", and ultra-powerful flashlights. And it will look great when they post photos of their "EDC pocket dumps" on the internet!
Decency would dictate waiting until April 1st to announce this blatant attempt at wallet mining; but a lot of folks have their tax refund well before April 1st.

Slaves get what they need. Free men get what they want.
It will be interesting to see what kind of performance can be obtained with it in a pistol caliber carbine. It might also make sense in the (admittedly small) compact, concealable buzz gun niche.
Personally, I would only find it of interest if it made possible the design of a compact CCW that I preferred over my 365, but that is highly unlikely.
