A friend has acquired several guns. Among them are two outstanding ones. A Springfield M1 rifle that appears to
be unfired. A Luger with an Eagle that has 50% or more blue, and all the straw colors. The Magazine has the wood bottom.
Any idea of their value. My guess is around $2000 each.
Any educated input would be appreciated.
Thanks!

I would be very leery of anyone claiming to have a military M1 Garand in apparent unfired condition.

Are you sure its a military Springfield M1 and not a newer Springfield Armory model or one redone by MilTech?

It has been stored for years. It looks like new. Where it came from??. There are no refinish marks or whatever.
The breeck block is unmarked from firing.
Any other inputs ?, what about value?.
Thanks!

As I said before, I would be very leery about such a rifle.

Perhaps you should contact the NRA Museum.

Some sources have told me that a very few of the early CMP releases were "new".
Any idea as to the value of it. Please don't tell me it
dosen't exist. How about the luger?.
Thank you!

If your friend has an unfired, original M1 Garand then I would guess that you can probably add $10 grand (if not more) to your estimate.

As I said before, contact the NRA Museum (or visit any of the Garand/Luger collectors forums) and I am sure they could steer you in the right direction for value estimates for both firearms.
