They're awful around here. Best thing I have found is Permethrin treated outer layers, picaridin on neck and hands, and an inner layer of compression pants and shirt. If they make it through the outer layer, somehow they can't seem to climb or bite through the compression gear. Downside of course is it can be hot as hell wearing two layers.

If you're getting ticks on you after treating your clothes you're doing something wrong.

How do you do it?
In the south, ticks and chiggers abound.

don't know if it works for everybody but I drink a tablespoon of vinegar everyday and have been redbug and tick free fro years

Joe you hunt Missouri, Wisconsin or Middle Tennessee you better drink a quart of vinegar a day....

My buddy's place, in central WI by Mauston is so full of deer ticks they just about pick you up and carry you away! They're super thick in the area. My place, in NE WI, has them, but not like over at my buddy's!

They are pretty light weight and will frazzle on briars....I've owned a lot of Underarour products over the years never many disappointments.

I like these pants so well I just bought a third pair.

For the most part I avoid briars.
