Colt agent, in the pocket, or S&W 439 in the waistband, or 1911 in a holster. Rarely, in hot weather a Beretta 21 22LR.

Fella - Nasty. Strip that NATO band and hit it (both sides) with an old toothbrush and a dab of dish soap. Top rack of dishwasher if real lazy.

Everyone has their own idea of what constitutes tools for EDC. This is mine,at least for a while. I take it that you don't wear skinny jeans.

Springfield Armory 4" EMP- IWB and a Buck 110 on my right side, and a Colt Detective Special in a cross draw on my left side.
The backup balances me out so that I don't "list" to one side.

I had the Benchmade on me on 9-11 coming back from Green Bay via Detroit, I deplaned Memphis at 8:30 A.M. It is a 3.9 inch and was my "plane" carry as it was legal till then.

Started with a S&W M10 4". Got tired of having to hitch up my pants every 4 or 5 steps. That thing is nice, but a beast to haul around! ☹ The kid has a RIA .45ACP. Nice, but same as the M10! Like hauling around a lead brick. Both the RIA and the M10 were more dangerous as a "blunt object"! LOL!
Youngest is a LEO and carries a H&K P2000 in .40 S&W.
Found a S&W "M&P Shield" in .40 S&W. Hefty, but not like the RIA or the M10! It's been my EDC for about 4 years now. First thing I take off before bed. Last thing I pick up in the morning.

There's grunge on there from Iraq. I'm afraid if I clean off that 'patina', it might lose value.......grin. I don't actually wear the watch very often, but thought this would be a good thread to 'cast some bait'. Typically I see expensive watches included in this type of thread, so I tossed in my crusty old Timex. I think it was $12 at the PX, back in the day.

A Smith model 60, 3” as in the OP, Sig 938 or Smith 637. Just depends on how I feel. CT grips on the two Smiths.

I carry a sig p365 with the 10rd mag with the lip and keep a spare 15rd in my pocket. Also carry a cheap s&w otf knife. It gets the job done.

G43X along with a spyderco folder. I switch between the G43 X and G32 I have a 2.5” 686 that I’d like to put in the rotation if I could find a decent IWB holster for it. Those Glocks are really compact. I was raised by my dad who was a 1911 fan,but my uncles were revolver guys. I split the difference and alternate between the two. I just can’t get used to a 1911. They feel great in the hand but the cocked and locked thing isn’t for me. I’ve tried but I’ve carried to many striker or da/sa. I’m just afraid that I’d forget about the safety. There are a whole bunch of dudes that will jump all over you for admitting that you are not comfortable with a 1911 and carrying it C&L. Like everything else, it is a matter of training. If you are worried about not disengaging/engaging a safety then there is nothing wrong with choosing a design that you are comfortable with. Not everyone has the hours, range time, ammo budget etc to dedicate to become properly proficient with certain types of tools and may be better off with a different type that will still meet their needs. The actions you take during a critical incident and how you handle yourself (thinking and acting decisively under extreme stress) are of far more importance than whether you are carrying a 70 series 1911 or a Glock 19. I have pointed guns at a lot of people, and anymore these days, I don't really care all that much. When I am headed out the door, honestly how I choose what I am carrying sometimes is a matter of what is not locked up inside the safe. If that is a 1911, or Glock 17, or 4" Model 29 (in cooler weather) .44 mag, then that is what I grab. Some times it may be a 4506. Just whatever is close and has a couple spare mags. Shooting people is the easy part. managing them is the difficult part.
