After my 9 hour work day keeping you guys flying I just mowed the grass, had to do it twice since I didn’t have a baler. Re-hung a gate. Spread weed & feed over the yard mixed with grub killer.

Beautiful day here but I was inside for most of it.

Went into the office today. Long commute of 214 miles one way.

Woke up to thunder, lightening and sleet/snow mix.

Been a long day.

It's been a few 'harrowing' days for me! grin

Spent the last few days harrowing a ranch getting ready for over-seeding coastal Bermuda grass seed and prescribed fertilizer. Think I about got it harrowed today. Friday I'll have to start dragging and covering the seed.

How's Gilbert doing? Sure hope he continues to improve!

Spectacularly well Richard, thanks for asking.

Started off relatively early for me, got chicken chores and stuff done and dressed in time to get the dog crates out of the family car, summer tires out of the shop and into the car, drive to town to arrive at 0800 opening of the tire shop to get the seasonal swap done.

Get there 3 minutes early and no other vehicles there, which is odd at this time of year. Still have a month before the required date to get the studs off, but weather doesn't look promising for snow any time soon. I actually thought the place was closed, maybe winter hours until 0900? When I got to the door I saw a couple of employees, so I was in luck.

Bigger luck when I went in and the manager asked for my phone number and what I needed. He checked the computer and asked which vehicle, and I told him it was the one that needed a full swap, tires off the wheels and the summer ones put back on. He then told me he had a used pair of wheels for that vehicle, at a reasonable cost (to me) , and I was able to get them, and the pressure sensors, and the tires mounted while I went to the Auction Yard (yep, where the sell the cows and sheeps) and had lingiusa, eggs, and French toast for breakfast.

When we first moved here the car was new and used rims weren't readily available and the cheapest set in 2016, with the sensors and all, would have been over a grand. At that time a tire swap was only $60, so $120 a season. I figured I could get a few seasons in for the $1k cost. That all changed with the Corona last year, now $90 for a swap. No longer after today, as Les Schwab will do the seasonal change now for free since I got the tires there.

Came home, had a nap, had a phone conference with my family doc, blood tests a couple weeks back all came back pretty normal.

Now it's time to throw some scratch at the girls in the Gulag, pick up any eggs they left me, and maybe start thinking about all the yummy leftovers in the fridge and which ones I want for dinner.

Can't call it a bad day today.

Got a really good hike in with Finn the wonder dog this morning and then spent the afternoon shooting sporting clays with a very friendly group of folks. Weather was mild, no wind and snow is starting to go. Two thumbs up relaxing day

What is this "polite" you speak of?

The day was good, low 80s 25 to 30 mph wind. Going to be a long night we are in a 4 out of 5 for severe weather and 7 out of 10 for tornados, I hate tornados. They say from about 10 pm till 4 am should be the worst of it.
