How tough is it to get landowner permission to do coyote calling in Kansas or Missouri?

I've only hunted once for deer in Missouri in northeast-northcentral-very close to the border. So I would say in the northern portion with limited timber.

In Ks, there’s a lot of walk in area that you can hunt. The walk in area may or may not hold a coyote but I’ve called out adjoining properties from the walk in area with fair success.
I will say that at this time of the year, lots of coyotes have been called and shot, and lots have heard the calls and were spooked or shot at and missed. They get real smart.
I called west central Ks in early December with good results. I called the same area last week with very poor results.

I really need to start doing some door knocking or sending letters to try and get some more land.

nothing beats face to face. letters, phone calls ect, not so good, easy for the land owner to say no, I don't know how many times driving and looking and see a land owner at work, mending fence, getting cows off the road ect, stop offer to help, conversate and then ask, never got turned down.

Forget letters, knocking on doors and face to face is the way to do it.
