I installed a new Jewell 40X trigger in my Bergara B14 wilderness Ridge today. Trigger works good safety works good everything functions normally.
The problem is if you cock the bolt and then engage the safety and then touch the trigger. When you disengage the safety the gun fires.
I have several other Jewells that do not have that problem. Any suggestions ? Adjustment ? Can't seem to find anything online.

Call Jewell. Don't mess around with it unless you know what you are doing.

I've never had one not adjust perfectly if I followed the adjustment procedures exactly.

Does it still do that if you take it out of the stock? You could have material in the stock interfering or the adjustment of the sear engagement is just wrong.

I had contacted Jewell about the issue and no questions asked had a shipping label in a matter of minutes .
They figured it was the safety cam allowing some movement while the safety was engaged.

The above line suggest things are fine and there's no need to read any further.

When one is not familiar with the mechanics, have a smith check it out. A common issue with many trigger installations. An over the phone diagnostic is nothing but a guess.
