I am having trouble finding an factory or aftermarket stock to fit the Ruger M77 Mk II ultralight (w/20" pencil barrel) I bought a 243 this weekend for deer hunting with my grandsons and it has a Boyds aftermarket stock. Functional enough, but made for the sporter weight barrel so there is a wide gap in the barrel channel. As a last resort i could fill it with Acraglass or similar material, but I thought I would post here in case someone has something to sell or point me in the proper direction. Not to steal the thread, but I’m looking for the same. More specifically a zytel (skeleton) stock. BigBullet, if I find one, I would be ok selling the zytel (non skeleton) stock I have. Just a little food for thought. I will keep you posted if I find something that will work for you. Good luck.

I had same need about 10 years ago. Ruger factory parts store sold me a new Mark II RL black synthetic stock for about $85. Not sure if still available.

I might have a short action laminate LW stock for a MKII. I can check when I get home tomorrow night. I seem to remember buying one for a project that went a different direction.

I did check on the Ruger store and they show out of stock. As does Midway and Brownells. So, Im looking still.

noknees, yes I would be interested in what you have with the laminated stock. Just remember I need the one with the very narrow barrel channel.
