That is a great article. And surprisingly positive as to the effects this re-ordering will have on the American economy. Hopefully, it will force the US gov to pair down the deficit spending. That would be not only an economic win, but a win for liberty as well. Maybe in the very long term. But the American government's sanctions on Russia has caused a big part of the world to be wary of getting too involved with trading in U.S. dollars. Consequently, demand for the American Dollar will go down as will its value. While this is going on, Russia is only accepting Rubles for its natural gas sales to Western Europe,...which will increase the demand for Rubles and increase its value. Basically, a big chunk of the world is converting their economy over to a system that will not accept American Dollars as payment. ,....and it's all because the American government has implemented sanctions and policies that has caused a big chunk of the world to lose faith in the U.S. Dollar. ,..and faith in the U.S. Dollar is the only thing that gives it any value.

When the world divest itself of the USD, trillions will come flooding home and cause hyperinflation. This move by Russia has been planned for years, they believe now is the time. We are most vulnerable with our lack of manufacturing, debt, environmental laws limiting extraction of our natural resources. Oh and President Brandon was the final factor.

The USA and G7 Nations have widened and increased further sanctions against Russia and have targeted his close family members knowing that’s where much of his wealth has been hidden.
Russia is soon to be totally ostracized from global financial avenues and outlets. Total sanctions have not yet been invoked on oil and gas sales at this point in time.

The whole world won't divest itself of Dollars. The big hit on the Dollar will occur when the Middle East oil producing countries start accepting other currencies besides the American Dollar as payment for their oil,...and it's going happen soon. https://www.yahoo.com/video/saudi-arabia-considers-ditching-dollar-170000924.html

If this is such devastating idea, why did Russia wait until now? Could have pulled the lever years ago. I’m betting it’s not so slick as the article suggests. Russia had no reason to pull the lever years ago. Russia wants to sell its natural gas,..to Western Europe or anybody else. The idiots in the American government pushed Russia into the corner and Russia responded the best way it could. Basically, Russia and Western Europe were getting along fine until the American government decided to play its typical games in Ukraine. Now, the people of Western Europe and the U.S.A. are paying the price for the neocons insanity.Only time will tell how big the price is going to be. I may not always agree with you. But, on this I certainly do. Without US meddling, criminal grifting and payoffs, and pushing NATO up onto Putin's front porch, there may not have been this problem in Ukraine. Or in Crimea or Georgia either, for that matter..
