Just wondered what would be best for an aluminum pot call. I've tried different strikers and some sound good but, wondered what is your favorites. thanks.

The same strikers you use on a slate or glass call are fine. The same striker works on all three. As far as my favorites, I like an clear acryllic striker on an aluminum pot call for an all weather combo. Otherwise, I like a laminated striker with a flared tip. But, again, any decent striker will work. You just have to try them and see what sounds right.

I have a Hank's Dymondwood striker. It is extremely dense and very heavy for a striker. Produces a nice, raspy tone on any pot I use it on.

I also have these Primos laminated strikers. The flared tip striker is nowhere near as heavy as the Hanks above. It's a hollow striker. It takes rasp out of the sound. The tones it produces on any pot are very smooth and mellow. Great for sublte calling.
The Kee Kee striker is much heavier than the flared tip striker, and it produces a very high pitched tone. I really like these strikers.

I've tried orange osage, hickory, poplar, butternut, redheart, and another that I can't remember what the wood is. Striped wood. Don't remember. Most of them sound good.

Maple, osage, hickory, and dymondwood are a good starting place.

Dymondwood and Tulipwood. A Tulipwood will run any pot out there worth its salt. If it still doesn't sound good with a tulipwood striker then the user needs more practice or the call itself sucks

Seems like I have used a carbon fiber striker with some good results on an aluminum pot. I think I also used a diamond wood striker as well

I like a harder more dense wood striker on the metallic pot call surfaces. Look for something with high janka hardness. Frogwood, snakewood, mac ebony, tulipwood, or a carbon fiber striker all sound pretty good.

Call me different but I like a cedar striker on mine. If we’re talking about anodized aluminum.

No, it's not anodized. Just plain aluminum, that I built. Teak wood pot from scrap pallet, with a acrylic soundboard.

Mine is a Lights Out but it’s anodized. Sweet call but I’ve never fooled with a regular aluminum call. I’d turned my cedar one for a copper call but come to like it for a few calls…but not the copper

My old Black Magic came with a plastic one and a wooden one with a plastic tip. I use the plastic one. I’m pretty good at losing turkey calls, but that one has managed to hand on for a long time, maybe because the striker is tethered to the pot.

I typically make my own out of purple heart for aluminum, but I happened to pick up a cheap Primos "Lucky Striker" on a closeout a while back and it sounds really good on my aluminum pots.
