A friend may be needing a replacement stock for a Remington 721 in 300 H&H, any suggestions?

Ebay GB or a model 700 stock Model 700 fits a 721? No modifications? Most 721s have a barrel donut... easy to Inlet for it... Bottom metal is different, but replace with 700 bottom metal to fit the stock. Super easy!

If you don't want to replace the bottom metal, the original bottom metal will fit a 700 BDL stock. You have to fill the cut outs at the front and back to make up for the thinner 721 bottom metal.
My 722 is in a 700 shot action ADL stock with 700 ADL trigger guard.
My 721 is in a 700 Long Action BDL with the 721 bottom metal.
You have to do a little fitting for the safety, bolt handle and sight donut, on one I had to widen the trigger opening in the stock slightly.
I did mine for the added comb height to make a scope more comfortable to use.

I just measured the barrel on my 721 in 300 H&H with the sight boss and right at the end of the forend it was 0.800 and the stock had “MAG” stamped in the barrel channel. A 30/06 721 and two 722s were between 0.725 - 0.735 so a little narrower than the 300 barrel.

Don't forget the safety difference. The 721 doesn't have a cut out for the safety lever. It sits farther out than that of a 700. A 700 stock will have to be modified so the 721 safety fits.

Should have said 700 safety lever, but I usually swap trigger AND safety lever.
