For sale Blackjack model 124, stag. I’ll be honest, coming up with a price on this one was challenging, as I couldn’t find much to base off of on the web. So if anyone thinks I’m way off, up or down, please advise. I believe this is about what I paid for the knife; and that was quite a while back/ Asking $250 shipped from AK I carried this one in the field guiding in 2018. I enjoy carrying and using different knives. This one performed very well and was never mis-used. Knife does show a slight graying or patina on blade, and has some nicks and scratches from being worn. Most notably on the end of the pommel and the sheath snap. https://ibb.co/Q9x3L9khttps://ibb.co/v3h0qx9https://ibb.co/k5MDwk9https://ibb.co/SJy0nnFhttps://ibb.co/hsvHCDDhttps://ibb.co/V9tqQC8Thanks ! I don’t know anything about the brand, but it’s a good looking knife. Guessing it’s A2 steel based on the wear (Patina). A lot of knife makers like and use A2 personally. As far as I am concerned any custom or semi-custom knife is worth $200 as a minimum.
And I have a lot of respect for anyone who is this open & honest in an ad.
Bump.

Thanks AKbob!
It is indeed A2. To my knowledge the Blackjack brand is a sub of Bark River, though im not sure the line is produced any more. They are more or less copies of Randall designs/styling. I can vouch for the toughness and good performance of the blade because as said, I used it throughout the entire 2018 fall season, and it did great

I don't remember all of the history, but, blackjack came prior to bark river. I know in the blackjack market, some credence is given to the early Effingham knives, from a collectors standpoint. Actually, the blades were started in Japan, I have an early "tombstone" bowie. Course, like everything else, the collectors want pristine. However, they are good knives for using too!!!!! I used to keep up on them some, but haven't now for a few years, so I can't say for sure what the market has done.

Blackjack knives from Mike Stewart in Effingham were pretty damn good knives.
