Vista Outdoors has announced prices will increase on all ammo effective July 1 of 20% to 22% due to price increases on raw material.
Vista outdoors ammo brands include Federal, CCI, Remington and Speer.
My guess is ammo shipments from the above ammo brands will increase once the new price increase becomes effective. What product will remain on dealers shelves for the next buyer remains to be seen.

Well, so much for the theory that prices will return to "Normal" when supply catches up to demand. What prices you see now will be considered the good old days very soon IMO.

The value of the dollar keeps dropping thanks in part to the leadership of "Brandon" so the prices of everything will continue to go up....

You lock trade down for a BS pandemic for two years, fry the small and medium size players, have the top guys buy everyone out, you are going to get inflation, price gouging, market manipulation the works. These 20% increases consumers are seeing are still the good news. I am in international logistics. The price of freighting a 40ft cargo container between continents was $800 pre covid, now its anywhere from 8,000-10000. Thats 1000% inflation. And thats because when they shut the sea fleets down a bunch of small players sold out to the big ones , the ports in on the hustle with the big ones made the berthing fees to high for the small players left, oh and they scrapped a heap of the worlds containers so they can sell them back to people at any price they want -and the big companies are doing just that. The biggest boondoggle of the boondoggle pandemic and these prices are coming to a store near you because almost everything in our lives is connected to global supply in some way. Dont worry they wont spike commodities all the way yet, its just going to be ever gradual increases. The tit gives more if it is squeezed not torn off

Let's see..
.Gov drives up prices on materials because of their open works to destroy the U.S. and world economies. Prices on ammunition go up, making it harder for law abiding citizens to protect themselves. Meanwhile, inflation is tearing at peoples' wallets and ability just to buy food. Food -> Ammunition? Choose one. Mission accomplished, looks like.

Pondered this today.
After deductions, I can buy the same amount of 22s with a days wages as in 1988.
Except, I was just out of school working for cash on a small diary farm. Today I'm near the top of the wage scale in a well paid factory job.
In 88, my dad did what I do. He could have bought twice as many rounds.
Inflation accounts for the bigger numbers, it does not account for the disparity in rounds/days work.
Lotta issues there. I do know, that a bucket of 1400 Golden Bullets has doubled over the price from 4 or years ago. The point where ammo was again available, and dropping a little in price. About like now.
Lotta stuff has more or less doubled in those years. Everything, except me. I appear to be getting comparatively cheaper every year.

I sure am glad this is all part of the plan and patriots are connecting dots.

Whenever I see news like this I immediately think about how the left has clamored for minimum wage increases. Our local McD is offering $20 an hour to flip burgers and the local tire shop is offering $25 for entry level work.
When companies talk about why they have to increase prices, they should make it front and center that wages for entry level or unskilled labor have basically tripled in the last few years, thanks to (D) activism. Let people know the cost of these feel good measures that do nothing other than trigger inflation.
Eliminate qualified immunity and you'll eliminate cops who act like they are above the law.

Orders for 1500 rds to bolster my stash + 200 rds for my niece for her training and practice were already in the works, but appear more lucid now, given Vista's plans for July 1st. https://www.midsouthshooterssupply....er-124-grain-full-metal-jacket-50-rounds

It's perpetual. They just increased prices April 1.

PSA.... like OP posted Going up 20 to 22% july 1.
Olin will follow suit without a doubt. And then smaller manufacturers will also.
Everyone will want a peice of the pie......
Wonder how much of this increase is added in profit inflation and just not merely materials and logistics inflation...
Just bought 2 boxes of Rem 30-06 165 gr PSP coreloks at Academy for 59.11 OTD....
