I’m sure Doug can fix you up.

Nikon Monarch 5 12x42 for around 300. They are pretty good for the money.

I bought a couple pairs of the Meopta Opticas from Doug and they have been great. I think I paid around $325 for them so mostly in the price-range.

Actually, there is a lot of very good glass for around that price point. It won't be Alpha glass, but it will be good enough for 90% of hunters needs. If it were me I would give Doug or Jeff a call at CameralandNY and talk to him about hit. About as fair prices as you'll find anywhere and he isn't afraid to give you whatever advice you ask for in an honest manner. And sometimes they will even give you a discount on their listed prices...

Cabelas was selling Vortex Viper 10x42's for $300 last year as a Christmas special. About as good as it gets for $300.

One example I have is to keep in different vehicles ranger barn etc. I don’t always know when I will need or like to have my binoculars. Tuesday my mares were due to start foaling. They didn’t but I like to have binoculars to watch them. Not everyone uses binoculars knives and guns on a certain hunt or just during deer season.

I know it's bizarre, but I hunt and kill moose, caribou, and blacktails while slumming a pair of HD vortex diamondbacks. Weird huh?

I discovered Meopta about 5 years ago and then started working with them just over 3 years ago. There's one thing that has stayed the same with Meopta, their value, which to me is quality/price. It is hard to beat what they offer $ for $. I agree, reach out to Doug, he is an Authorized Dealer and can help you make the right selection. I keep a pair of Optika HD 8x42s ($340) in my Honda Pioneer and a pair of MeoPro HD 10x42s ($550) in my truck. Both have been bounced around, dropped, and left outdoors many times and still perform as expected. Even with lower-priced Meopta glass, they perform very well in low-light conditions.

Then send them in and get a new one.

I've had several Viper binos and scopes and never had an issue. But then again I tend to take care of my stuff.

It’s almost like these days porro prism binoculars are obsolete and if you can deal with a little extra weight, they shouldn’t be. You get a wider fov and less cost for better glass. The cabin binos are a big pair of 10x50 Bushnell Sportsview glasses and I like them. That rocker focus is easier to adjust than a smaller dial. I won’t put my high end roof prism Leica binos on the coffee table to watch the bird feeder or be finger fodder for the grandkids.

Well I just bit on one of those Sightron 10x32's. My plan is to use those as a "kitchen binocular", so we'll see.

Thanks for the heads up on these.
For a $100 truck/boat bino these are fantastic.
