Do they chamber 7-08...? I'd actually rather have a 7-08 but they've only got two on the rack and they're both 6.5s... Of course they do. I have one in 7mm08, 6.5 creedmoor and 308w. I like the 7mm08 better than the other 2 for some reason.
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

A .308 Win is a bit under bore and a 6.5 CM is just a tad overbore without enough body taper theoretically. Realistically it doesn’t matter much if at all but it’s fun to think about. I like all three. A .308 Win has the history, military pedigree and “charisma” a 6.5 CM has the precision background, and a 7/08 is probably the most balanced. None of it really matters in a hunting rifle for most purposes but it’s fun as hell to think about when deciding on the next gun.

I have 2 Tikkas. A T3 Superlite camo/stainless in 7 Mag I bought in 2016 and a T3x Veil Wideland/Bronze cerakote in 6.5 PRC I just picked up a few weeks ago. I absolutely love them. Can’t beat an all weather tack driver that’s light enough for an old feller to tote all day. Love em! Did I mention I love them?

Truth be known, my 7mm08 doesn't shoot as well as either my 308 or 6.5. But it's the one I've grabbed for deer and elk for the last 2 years. Shot my bull last season with it and it worked very well with the 140gr TTSX. If the OP wants one in 7mm08, that would be an excellent choice for an all around big game rifle.

Guess I will be the only Debbie Downer on this thread................. First rifle I ever bought was a Sako some 45 years ago, since then have added several more. great rifles with no issues. a couple years ago decided to try a Tikka t3x, worst POS I have ever owned.......Had it pillar bedded, recrowned, blueprinted and it's still a 3" group gun. should have sent it back immediately instead of trying to fix it, now I'm stuck with the POS

Tikka's are the easy button for factory rifles
I may not be smart but I can lift heavy objects
I have a shotgun so I have no need for a 30-06.....

Also looking at my first Tikka. I read that a lot of guys replace the factory synthetic stock. What is gained by doing so? If it "needs" replacing, what is the easiest and most cost effective solution? Weight would not be an issue as I don't need or really want a super light rifle. Thanks.

Tikkas are probably amongst the easiest, if not the easiest rifles to get accuracy. The 6.5CM version is especially so. Can't go wrong. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ THIS

The earlier Tikka 595/695's were my favorite....although one pound heavier than the the T3's Great triggers.....Sako barrels.........smooth as silk actions.......magazines are scarce though Tikka in Finnish..means 'Woodpecker' Hits the same hole over & over again

I replaced the factory stocks on both of mine with stocks that cost more than the guns. Absolutely look better to me, but absolutely no improvement in accuracy, zip, nada, nothing. Don't call me a rifle loonie.

My first Tikka was a LH 595 in 7mm-08. I loved that gun. It killed everything it was pointed at. A classmate of my son needed a deer rifle and really wanted the 595. With sadness, I let him buy it and I have regretted that day since...

The biggest question if You get the 6.5 Creed is how do you look with Your hair in a bun?

I liked my T3 Lite S S 270 W so much that I bought a T3X Lite S S in 7 MM RM. Never disappointed.

Gay.
Not as gay as .270, but still gay.
Find a 7mm-08.
