Now the Russian Flagship actually went and Fked itself..
Hit by Neptune naval missiles from Ukraine..
480 orcs on board...

Russians says all evacuated.........

The "Moskva" I grew up with was a helicopter platform. This new Moskva from what I can see (and looked up) is a former SLAVA class guided missile cruiser of about 15,000 tons. I think the Russians sold their (fake) carrier to the chinks. They also had a much bigger ship Kirov Class, but I have no idea what happened to them. Those were closer to 40K tons full load. Nothing but a big grape for us..

A fake news stamp story for the NAZI living slack jawed returds.. The Snake Island story was found to be fabricated.

The Ukrainians tweeted they sunk it now they are back tracking.

Where's the video footage of the hit?

What makes you think there would be video footage of everything?

And even if there were footage, you'd immediately claim it was fake.

The Slava class are called "mini-Kirov's" For Russian Naval surface assets, they are the second only to the Kirov's in combat power, and currently all 3 in the region, including the one from their Pacific Fleet. At last report their only remaining Kirov was still in North Fleet waters.

Sinking a Slava would be a really big deal.

Yes it would be. We used to train to fight these grapes "Surface Action Groups" back in the day. Vikings and Harpoons were the centerpiece of the "Wagonwheel" strike on these turds.

Two ways this went down.

Either it was an ammunition explosion which is pretty damn embarrassing for the Russians. How many ships spontaneously sink from ammunition explosions in this day and age.

Or the Ukes sank it which is equally embarrassing.

Not the first time. The Russians are notoriously horrible and ammunition handling. You know that "gator" that caught fire and exploded in an Ukranian harbor a couple of weeks ago and the Ukranians claimed it was they who did it? Well they didn't. There is ample evidence (there is also a good video on You Tube supporting this) it was a ship board fire that cooked off some ordnance. The video clearly shows a lot of WHITE smoke prior to the detonation/conflagration with lots of black smoke. But yes I agree, either way it once again demonstrates the Russians are pretty incompetent/

Is this ship nuclear powered? Did it have any nuclear weapons on board?

A few weeks ago when all this started, I mentioned that having been on a tour of a Russian Udaloy class destroyer I was appalled at the lack of fire fighting equipment and that the fire hoses that WERE along the passageways looked like green garden hose. I think I said something along the lines of them being catastrophes just waiting to happen.

Two major naval disasters in a month have illustrated how poor their damage control is.

The simplest of internet searches reveals that the Slava-class are gas turbine powered, and that the anti-ship cruise missiles they carry can have either conventional or nuclear warheads. There is no way to determine how this ship was armed. I doubt that an email inquiry to Vladimir would be answered.

Agreed, wasn't sure what to search for. Most of our larger ships are both nuclear powered and nuclear armed. Be interesting to know if there are a couple of nuclear warheads in a sunken wreck touring the Black sea though.

Looking into it the ship is a veritable antique with very limited value in the Ukraine conflict. Still it is nice to see a Russian ship bite the dust.
