Good luck.

yes, mine has very light marks on the rail.
It won't be a high use gun, and I'm using light loads and plan to keep it that way.

Thanks

Been very lucky
I've had several 742's and a 7400
Never a problem one.
This last one was a 308 7400
I imagine the guy was selling it because it was
so filthy. Took a good part of the day to get all
the filth out of it. Never a bobble out of all the
rounds I put through it. And they were all very
accurate even though everyone says they are not.

I've actually had people get mad at me because
my Remington auto rifle experience has been
so trouble free.

I'd say that you've been very, very, very, very lucky to have 742s and 7400s without a single bobble.

I've owned 3, and cycling was never a problem, but I could never get the accuracy I wanted out of them. My 760s are all 1" guns. The 742s were more like 3" on a good day, so they all went down the road. Luckily I bought them cheap enough that I was able to turn a small profit on all of them.

They say everything happens for a reason.
For me that reason is usually because I've made some bad decisions that I need to pay for.
