I like the looks - but it's better with the grill blacked out and not chrome. I've just never been a chrome guy - hated it on my Harleys, trucks are worse.

You really don't want to quote a new 1 ton diesel.

This pic shows the 1794 package, I believe it's their highest/most top of the line trim level in the Tundra. 66k doesn't even get you a Raptor from Ford.

I'd wait a year or two. Been reported down in the truck thread that there are quite a few problems with this new version.

Toyota man here and I have had Ford Chevy and Dodge. Last GM Product put a bad taste in my mouth in shop over 30 times under warranty. Been looking to update 06 Tundra some what for 3-4 years but they looked like a school bus up front and just did nothing for me. 22 models look much better but the V 6 and all new has me thinking maybe sit on side lines till the trial is over on new 22

That '06 has the 4.7L V8, right? Same engine my LX470 has. Not sure you can wear one out. We had 5 or 6 Tundras at work over a 15 year period. The early Tundra's were the best one's we had. The 2014 was the worst.

Correct 1794 Model... The Platinum is the next tier down. TRD Pro and Capstone are above the 1794.

There are seven grades (SR to the Capstone)... Only the top four have the hybrid assist ($3,400 upgrade or something like that).

MPG is 24 at best. Torque/towing is impressive. CrewMax cab is mandatory (battery under the Max back seat), but that kills the 8' bed.

The Capstone is absurd... axle grease and dirt on on fine WHITE Italian leather. Come in Toyota... THINK.

I have had a deposit on one since November... specs and details finally coming out now... Builds in May or June maybe?

Short bed length, CrewMax mandate, no base level hybrids, cost, MPG... The jury is still out... maybe... if more 1.6% interest rates...

We shall see, , but I am leaning towards no.

Looks like they took the front end of a Taco and put on the Tundra. Have seen a couple new Tundras on the lot. Hard pass for me.

I currently have a '15 Tundra Limited - 190,000 miles. Last Tundra I buy as the '22 has completely turned me off. Be a Ford next time.

Yes with 4.7. Been a great truck and Toyota service guy(Former High School student) says those engines are BULLET PROOF

After 20 years of driving Tundras, it's pretty unlikely I'll buy a 3rd generation model. I find the styling hideous, the payload lacking and the numerous reports of problems (some legitimate lemon law candidates) to be a bit of a turn-off.

No for me. I see no need to lose the hauling and towing capacity, of my current vehicle.

I may look for a "new" truck in a few years. My 2014 Tundra has been a great truck and with just under 80k miles there really is no need to replace for years. I drive it when I need a truck, otherwise it sits.

Nope. Regardless of make/model I'm happy to keep cruising around in my 20 year old pickup.

Just took the sticker price of that Toyota and put it down on another house. I'd feel sick spending that much cash on a fancy car(for myself).

Unless we were rich, then hell yeah!...lol

I can’t imagine owning a truck with carpeted floors.
Other thing is heated seats. Every damn time I ride in my wife’s cruiser she has the heated seats on. 15 minutes I feel like I pissed myself. Hate those things.
