Greg, I could see this coming. The Reedy Creek thing was a good deal for everyone (except the local land owners that got screwed initially), but it's time has passed. Orange and Osceola County are going to rape Disney with taxes. I can't wait to watch the fun I can't wait either, Sam. They've had it coming for a long, long time. BTW, their woke crap didn't start yesterday. They've been at it for a while with their diversity hiring mandates and other such insense. Plenty of qualified people have been turned down for jobs there because they didn't fit the diversity woke agenda. I know a couple. It's just with this "Don't Say Gay" stuff that it's bubbled to the top of the media. It's another beautiful thing that the media helped them shoot themselves in the foot.

Should have happened a long time ago, Better late than never. Agreed. Disney had this special treatment for over 55 years! Had they not decided to go big mouth woke and try to mess with DeSantis, it could have gone on for another 50 years. 55 years ago was a much different Disney. Before Michael Eisner and the beginning of PC, Disney was worth the benefits they were give I thought Walt was a pedo from way back?

There's a good chance they were dug by my compadres and I out of a pine forest in Williston, north Florida, outside of Gainesville in the 70's. That pos Michael Eisner is himself a subject worthy of a 15 page thread.

Won't Disney just end up buying the County politicians instead of the state politicians? I don't know how local politics works in Florida but I would expect they will buy every type of concession known to mankind from whatever governing body runs the counties.
Whoever enacts the county ordinances in Orange County will soon be swimming in mouse money...

I worked at Dismal (in management) for quite a few years. Finally got fed up and left in 1998. Best thing for me and my health. That said, I hope they don’t go TU. I need my pension $. LOL
