Well they have stopped delivering the newspaper in my area, can't even get one at a store. No more ad sheets like the "Thrifty Nickel" either. So all our communications and information are now at the mercy of cell phones and the internet.

That’s the Least of our Worries..

Yep. I was a paper boy in 1962, delivering the Atlanta Journal on my bicycle. Today, the print version of the Journal barely exists, not sure it might be gone.
Benjamin Franklin made his name and wealth, printing newspapers 270 years ago, black ink on paper, same thing as the Atlanta Journal. And in my lifetime, have seen the print newspaper go bye bye.

It too expense to print newspapers and get them delivered. Print media is a dead deer running.

40 odd yrs ago I started printing at the KC Star. Sunday circulation was 425k. Now the Sunday circ. Is 114k. It is printed in Des Moines. The Star basically no longer exists. They are trying to sell the building. The presses just sit. Years ago you could have a printing job in KC within a couple hours. Now so much has shut down. Where I worked for the last 23 yrs of my working life shut down 2 yrs after I retired. Just a few left and they are not healthy.

THEY want/are controlling every aspect of our lives. Just like the junk THEY make available on TV and Radio. I still believe there is hope that WE can correct this MADNESS.

There used to be lots of paper mills in Northwestern Ontario—not any more.

Dallas Times Herald
Dallas Morning News
Fort Worth Star Telegram and the
Palestine Herald Press

I think the Fort Worth Startle-Gram is about the only printed one alive.
Last Houston Chronicle I saw was about 5 inches in diameter! Probably took a cord and a half of wood to print it! LOL!

I grew up in the printing business. Except for specialty purposes, it’s dead.
Who wants to bring back buggy whips, steam engines and gaslit streets?

Too many on the fire are afraid of the future and wish to return to a past that never was.
