Anyone loading for this caliber?. Just finishing a bolt rifle on a Weatherby varmintmaster action.
I’d like to keep it to 70-90 grain bullets..
varget, 8208, are powders I’d like any experience with as I have plenty of it.
Thx
Greg

Thanks so much for the input folks! Nice shooting!
I had good luck with the 8208 as well. The varget didn’t produce the performance (hunting) I was looking for.
Ive about settled on 29 grains of 8208 450 primer & 80 grain CX or ttsx bullets for deer & pigs. BLC-2 also produced great groups & performance.
This Bartlein 1:9 barrel is crazy accurate.
Working on varmint loads that will print close to the hog loads, using 75 Vmax, 65 Berger & 80 gr nosler.
I made a sleeve for seater (bonanza bench rest) out of the barrel cutoff by cutting a chamber with the same reamer I chambered the rifle with. Seems to make a good straight load.
Thanks again for your help!
Greg
