Team one only because of availability. I'm rather pleased with my 7mm-08, but the .308 that I made it from had a lot more available ammunition.
My other auto is a .45

Team one for only one reason. There is enough gap between them to actually matter. There isn't enough difference between a .260 and 7-08 to matter much in the field. The choice seems redundant. Big difference between .243 and .308.. If team 2 was 22-250 Rem and 7mm-08 Rem I'd probably go that route.

team #1 = ammo can be found at any place easier for 308 or 243 , but i still would rather use my 7mm-08

My gun safe and pragmatic attitude say team 1
Want to like the 7-08 but ammo availability and the fact that no game animal on earth could tell me the difference puts me in the 308 camp.

Team 1 because I hunt chucks and have had a .243 of some sort since 8th grade.

It’s almost like two versus one. In typical 🔥 style I’ll pick team 3 - team 280.

Team 2 if you had used 25-06 and 35 Whelen. Given your choices, Team 1.

I have a 7mm-08 & a 308. I had a 243 and sold it. Never had a 260 though I think it’s a good cartridge. I prefer the 6mm over the 243 and have a couple of them.
Not sure what you would be hunting. But if it were deer I’d prefer the bigger three. If shooting varmints I’d prefer the smaller three.
If you want deer and coyote rifles #1 just because as others have stated there’s a wider gap between the two.
But between the bigger three there’s not a lot of difference.
I only reload by the way. Rarely a factory load out of my rifles. But factory ammo sometimes is the best way to get brass.
I prefer classic. Semper Fi I used to run with the hare. Now I'm envious of the tortoise and I do my own stunts but rarely intentionally

None of the above. Poor mix. Cartridges too close in relation to one another.
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

Okay I'll say it, just get a 6.5CM and all those bases are covered. A one gun all-star team, Hornady.
