I lofted a king size one in college - it was so big there wasn't any room left if I'd kept it on the floor. I had a real good support system under it, but even at the end of the year, there were still some fraternity brothers who wouldn't sit in a chair below it. My wife and I had one for quite a while and really enjoyed it. You could reduce the wave motion a bit simply by putting more water in. The really nice thing was that you could keep things cool in the summer by lowering the temperature a couple degrees.

Had one that belonged to the first wife. I never liked it for anything. I bet you liked her for some things. We had one back in 82 when my new wife was pregnant with our oldest son. When she was getting close the damn thing sprung a leak. I ran around like a chicken with its head cut off thinking her water had broke. Last one of those damn things we ever owned. Bed or kid?

I had to burp mine often. I'd put those bottles of blue chit in it, but somehow it always still made air and that annoying sloshing sound. Take the sheets off, remove the cap, and drag a yard stick across it to get the air out.
I think a girlfriend's missing earring was the death of mine.

We had one of the full wave kind.
It was fun until i had back surgery.
Once i laid down with to much speed and the wife nearly got launched out of bed. We had a Hy-bread Wolf that weighed in at 180 that slept on the floor next to me. One night we had a Transformer on the power pole in front of our house explode. That poor Girl Jumped up landed on top of me and threw my girl friend out of the water bed. After I grunted not knowing what happened. I heard 2 thuds. My Girlfriend hitting the wall and then the floor. I really loved my waterbed but after 2 leaks in a year it was time to get rid of it. My Girlfriend and I still Laugh when we talk about that night she went a flyin.

We just went back to a mattress. We've had a waterbed of sorts for about 25 years. This last one, was a soft sided one. Looked like a regular bed. It had 2 separate foam type pads where the full waveless bladders laid in. It had a pillow top pad on top. Great comfort, and warmth. Getting old, and now need more firmness. We still have everything for now. Just haven't put it up for sale yet.

Bought the frame and mattress in 1981. Been through at least five mattresses through the years. Slept on it last night.

Had a few girlfriends that had them, they suck Yeah, that’s why they probably don’t make them anymore. That and insurance costs. 🦫 The way houses are built these days, one would collapse floor joists in short order. They absolutely suck .

Had one when first married. When you’re young they’re great to hump on.

First girlfriend had one, never understood the appeal.
These new memory foam mattresses allow for increased traction.

I think a girlfriend's missing earring was the death of mine. I’m gonna say that sloshing sound wasn’t from your waterbed. Hot dog bouncing down a hallway, maybe.... Snork 🦫
