Gentlemen, it's been a while since I posted here. I found the thread under Misc Good for the new lettering place, Savage Arms, Historical Information, 100 Springdale Rd., Westfield, MA. 01085. I have Callahan's old charges and am wondering what they may be at Savage Arms for model 99's today? Is there anyone in particular to address a request?
Thanks much guys, WapitiMac

Bad news... that's out of date. The current letters are done by the Center Of The West Museum in Cody. $75 for a non-member (ouch). On the bright side, if you have several guns to letter it's cheaper than it was at Savage if you become a museum member with a firearm membership. Can be cheaper than even Callahan was if you need a dozen lettered. Scroll to the bottom of the following web page and there's a link to their site. https://savagelevers.com/serial-number-search/

There will come a time when Rory provides letters.

Because of the religious affiliation? "The Church of Savagery", The Reverend Calhoun presiding.
Do you do weddings too?

I meant the Cody museum. While I’d love to research the ledgers for answers to questions we have, I’m not sure I’d want to have the ledgers and do letters. First, some of the handwriting in there is just plain illegible to me! Was looking at one 1921 page and neither the archivists nor I could read a letter that was on several entries… H? S? 4? It was driving us crazy.. And I’d hate to get to a point where it got tiresome..
