Bought a " Stevens Browning 620" 12 gauge pump, serial # 2443x. The receiver has no markings, as usually seen in pictures, only markings for manufacturer/model are on the barrel. The receiver has upper and lower tangs. I'm lead to believe this is usually seen on the older 520s. Has me wondering if I have a transition model. Wood and metal are in decent shape for its age. The action is SLICK and I'm surprised to see about 90% remaining case colors on the breechbolt. Most pics I've seen show bright bolts. I'm not a shotgunner. But this old girl fits like it was made for me. Close my eyes and shoulder her and she lines up perfect. Maybe I can hit more than air with this one? Gonna take her to pieces for a good clean/ lube. She took the last spot in the cabinet, so that means I'm done buying guns. Right?

Or just do what I did.. hit your local thrift shops looking for china hutches. Nobody wants them any more, can usually find a nice one for under $200. Bit of tweaking and you have... Holds 8 guns sideways for display, or 17 for storage. Think I have $130 into it.

Both of my 620s have top and bottom tangs, along with my 520s.

Terminal. must be terminal if you are done buying guns. only a terminal illness is an excuse to cause such a drastic action!

Looks like you got some Marlin in your Savages One. It was my dad’s. Best gun in that case. To me, at least.

I don't have too many guns, I just need a bigger safe.
