Had the same setup in 22-250. A real tack-driver and all-around cool rifle. Value 5 years ago would have been around $1000-1200; today you should get $1600-1800.

Remington introduced the varmint special in 1967. The stock on this gun is from 1969-1973 era. Agree with prices if action matches stock date. You can send me a pic of the barrel code and I can tell you dom
I would be interested in gun as well if you decide to sell. Thanks. Travis

Cabelas in MN has 2 of them for $1669 with a decent Leupold. I‘ll stay tuned for the model year/era correct stock outcome.
Put me down for interest as well. It would compliment my Classic and Model Seven 6mm nicely.

Think the scope would sell for 750 if rifle in as good as shape as it looks would be 1500 in my area pretty fast. With ammo 2400 to 2500

I sure hope he's just price checking and not selling. I can't afford another rifle right now. But I'd sure like to have it.

The bolt shroud, jewelling and safety lever appear to be correct to the ribbon checkered stock for a early seventies rifle. The barrel date code will confirm this IMHO.

Price checks usually sell by PM, get yours in if you want it.

It is not a 1963 model because they didn't make Varmint Specials then. It has a long bolt shroud and it has to have been made after 1968.
