Both. In general guns are allowed with normal gun show trigger ties and such for the exhibition floor. BUT no guns in areas controlled by the Secret Service as where and when Trump appears.

If you have never been to one of these. It’s time to go. I attended the last one in Houston. All the gun manufacturers were there. They displayed all their wares. At the time I was interested in sxs shotgun. Got to handle and compare them all.

The annual convention might be held at The Whittington Center where the NRA is the decision maker. Nice as that might be the facilities aren't up to the expected crowds. Once the decision is made to hold the NRA Convention at convention centers around the country - there is a policy of moving the NRA Convention around to be convenient to different members in different years - the NRA no longer controls the local rules. On the record the NRA Conventions have been safe spaces so local rules have not endangered members and visitors.

I was at Cincinnati and I've been to NRA conventions from Atlanta to Seattle and in between. On the when in Rome do as the Romans do principle bowing to local control follows. When there is little or no choice it's not hypocrisy; it's bowing to the inevitable.

There is an abundance of reasons including hypocrisy to criticize the NRA. This is not one of them.

Gun free zones are asking for trouble. The more armed the safer it is. So says the NRA gun lobby. Hypocrisy from on high.

Some folks just don’t understand the phrase from Proverbs 17:28 -
