Good memories. I sure miss those days. Mine are in high school, so I can’t coach ball anymore.

My son was one of the coaches for my grandson’s “coach pitch” team and they just finished their season.

I don’t know if there’s anything more fun than kids sports.

Enjoy your day and savor it because before you know it they’re graduating from high school and college.

It’s great fun as long as the “adults” behave. GD! are some of the coaches and parents awful people ! Screaming angry at little kids just trying to figure out how to play the game and “oh ! Look a grasshopper 😀 !” .

Gilbert - things to remember to fit in with the rest of the T-Ball team during games:
1) When in the field, the ball is the least interesting of all available objects. Butterflies top the list, but other bugs rank high, as do birds, clouds, the dirt, the grass, and any thoughts that might enter your head.
2) When in the field, the ball should be avoided if and when it approaches you.
3) Should you notice that one of your shoes is untied, it is imperative to tie it immediately (meticulously) regardless of what may be going on around you.
4) When batting, striking the tee below the ball makes for a most wonderful "Whump" sound.
5) You throw the ball with your bare hand, not with the glove, despite what you see some of your teammates doing.
6) Ignore that woman screaming encouragement from the lawn chair. She is probably demented, and if you acknowledge her, people might realize that you are related. If this woman is a little bit older, she is definitely demented.
7) Also ignore the man in the lawn chair who is coaching you as though you are striving to make the move from Triple-A to the Majors. He too is probably demented, and if you acknowledge him, people might realize that you are related.
8) Most of all, don't take any of this too seriously; just enjoy yourself.

Good stuff! Enjoy it! I try to have 3 rules with youth sports for the kids; listen, try hard, have fun. If they do that, I don't feel one can be upset with them.

I'd just as soon watch youth baseball as any higher, more skilled leagues. Fun stuff!
