It might not be on the border but the news says that there are roughly 150 border patrol agents in Uvalde. As with anything that the news reports I trust you guys that are lifelong “real” Texans over the “expert guests” interviewed by the media.
Uvalde has been a red-hot spot for illegals and dumping them off there from the border towns where Biden busses them from. Lots of bailouts and high speed pursuits. Lots of mass human smuggling cases there.

You can google it and see where it is in relation to the border, All the ranch county down here gets illegal traffic so they have border patrol in towns in those areas.
