Colt is bringing back the Diamondback, sorta. A new Cobra in .22LR, 4" stainless steel. Colt can't use the Diamondback name any more, since Diamondback Arms is using that name now, but it's very similar to the Colt Diamondback of yore, complete with vent rib, but it IS a Colt DA revolver in .22LR. No price was listed (blurb was on FB), and no timeline was listed.

I was wondering when they'd get around to this. Colt is still killing it in the DA revolver market. That's a very good thing whether you're a Colt fan or not. I'm first and foremost a revolver man, so seeing the DA revolver market expanding just warms my heart.

Nice. If it’s the same size (frame) as the king Cobra, that will be awesome.

The flattened trigger guard makes it look like a Rossi IMHO.

Always thought that Colt made the ugliest wheel guns. The trend continues. Never could get into the vent rib look.

I can't disagree with that. I'm not in the market, I already have a 617, anyway.

My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

I can still recall buying a 22lr Diamondback in the late 80's for $150. I wish I still had that one.

Going to be $999 list. No telling how long before they hit the shelves. Sportsman’s Warehouse has both lengths listed already. I think they will be in higher demand than the Pythons.

Awesome, still prefer the rounded trigger guard like the old Cobra's. Now we just need a 4" Anaconda!

Serious question.
Are guns like these ever going to lose value?
