I can not explain why one was chosen over the others.
I do believe a couple of others heard the call, but were injured and unsuccessful at stopping the evil.
Nor can I explain why the timeline was what it was. Only God Himself knows.
I believe He has the power to do anything.
Someone heard His call, and answered it, even after others were injured, placing the lives of others above his own.
That is a hero. No question about it.

A couple of guys Burns likes hang with occasionally to make him feel relevant. The guy's (not Burns obviously) is a real hero in the Uvalde situation for sure. Kudo's to him.

Here's how the tactical training scam works and Ive been through 100's of hours of it. Every 2 to 3 years some new ninja high speed company gets the contract to instruct LEO's on tac training. Every year there are at least a 1/2 dozen different tactical companies doing tactical training for local law and sometimes FED LEO's. And much of the training varies widely often contradiction another company's training. Every new contractor has their own spin on how to do it so LEOS have relearn the new "high speed, low drag" every few years. It seem every 5 to 7 years it is recycled so relearn a tactic you were taught 15 years ago. It always funny when a new Tactical expert comes in and says jut forget everything you were taught then you remind him that he taught you tactical class 6 years ago lol

Now with the LEO ninja tactical operator mindset SWAT is called out on every dog barking call and they usually end up needlessly destroying a bunch of property , hog tying children and bystanders and leaving a huge mess to clean up and a pissed off community


It was easier 20 years ago when you arrested someone to do it yourself or better yet grab a partner and do it. Many active shooters were taken down by one or two officers and they didn't wait for the command structure to make a decision. I know a lot of highly train SWAt types that would never enter a structure to arrest someone without flash bangs, a k 9 and 15 other operators to assist
