Best way to mount an RMR on a glock 20?
Dovetail adapter? Machine, drill and tap for a plate?
What says everyone.

the Trijicon dovetail mount plate makes for a pretty clean setup. This is shown with the RMRcc, but it's also avail for the RMR (don't know if the mounts are exactly the same). On my old G20 with grip mod. . . May not be the "best", but very serviceable. FWIW Paul

Paul, Have you had any durability issues?
Read a post from a few years ago when internet researching that stated possible issues because of the heavier recoil on the 10mm.
The dovetail sure hits an easy button, but I have a guy locally that can mill the slide. Hence the question.

Milling brings suppressor sights to the table, giving you a backup option

I don't know much about Glocks but I am thinking about an aftermarket slide for my 19. It seems cheaper than milling the factory one and having it Cerokoted
I may not be smart but I can lift heavy objects
I have a shotgun so I have no need for a 30-06.....

Biden's most truthful quote ever came during his first press conference, 03/25/21. Drum roll please...... "I don't know, to be clear." and THAT is one promise he's kept!!!

Don't sell it and buy a Gen 4 or 5 MOS. Keep it AND buy a MOS.
Seriously though, I wouldn't bother having it milled. There seem to be several well regarded aftermarket slides out there already milled for a RDS for about the same price as having it milled.

I’m not sure direct milling ain’t the best option. I picked up a 19 MOS the other day and after doing a lot more research, I found a lot of folks have broken the factory MOS plates.
I just ordered a Forward Controls Design plate today for $71. These are supposed to be much better than the factory plates. CHPWS also makes better plates.
But figure the extra cost of an MOS pistol was $70 and the plate another $71, I could have a slide milled for less than $150
And I just got done mounting 2 507C’s to PSA Dagger slides that are direct mount, the simplicity was obvious.

I do not believe Glock is making a Model 20 MOS yet.

Late to the party but... Had my Glock 30 Milled by Suarez, Trijicon suppressor sights co-witness with the RMR. I ran it as a 45 Super for awhile, no issues with it holding up. Really liked the set-up. Would probably have preferred it set up that way on a G21. If you go with the Glock MOS plates, Dawson Precision has the correct height sights for co-witness (they're not suppressor height sights). Jerry
