My 1952 model 70 custom in .338. It's almost too pretty to hunt with. But not quite...

I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

Nothing special. M70 in 30-06, bedded in a B&C stock, dual dovetail mounts and rings and VX3i 3.5-10x40 Yes she IS special too! I agree. You have to appreciate a rifle like that..

Here’s a few varmint rigs. 🦫 My gun safe hasn't looked that neat since about an hour after delivery.

Last WT I shot was with this pre-64 .358 Win FWT. The 178 gr. Hammer is a great bullet, devastating killer. This FWT was a shot out .243 that JES turned into a .358 Win. DF It now wears a Trijicon, which found a home on this rifle.

I used to own these but have since replaced them with a couple of upper end stainless / synthetic rifles when I decided to get serious about hunting...

Heres a Remington .243 'retro' rifle I just cobbled together. A nostalgic holdover from a misspent youth...

Here's my beater for driven game hunts. Win M70 SS Featherweight cal. 308 Win. in a Mc Hunters Edge stock, barrel bobbed to 20". It weighs 6 pounds 1 ounce with the X/S ghost ring sight which takes all of 10 seconds to install. I normally hunt it with a Bushnell Li'l P prism sight or a Holosun red dot. With either one the rifle weighs 6 pounds 4 ounces, a very slick handling little carbine. I just found your post scrolling through this thread. Funny, I put one together last year that almost looks like its twin, but it's a push feed .358 in a B&C stock. I also used a Ruger front sight.

Hey Shrapnel, what's the story on the wall behind your rifles? Real or re-creation? BTW, that 1886 Deluxe of yours gives me the quivers. Beautiful!!
