Makes me a little nervous, been a stupid wet year so the farmers are just now gettin their first cutting, when they’re real fresh like this they’ll just lay and the mowers get em..

the consolidation of the states into one vast republic, sure to be aggressive abroad and despotic at home, will be the certain precursor of that ruin which has overwhelmed all those that have preceded. Robert E Lee ~Molɔ̀ːn Labé Skýla~
I’m trying to understand why does bed their fawns in the roadside ditch, just feet from daily traffic. Maybe they think coyotes won’t look there. I don’t know, but I killed a buck fawn yesterday. Then I quit shredding, I’ll try again in 10 days or so.

I was out today looking at some timber and a mule deer doe came running toward me,, it was trying to scare me off, it looked pizzed off, I scurried away...It might of had a fawn or it might of been all worked up about a bear hanging around,, not sure.
We arrived here in north Idaho at 3 or so today. Around 5 the turkeys came through and about an hour later three young bucks just sprouting into their second branch stayed for a bit then moved on.
