Thanks for the link. A hundred bucks for an assault rifle and fifty bucks for every other type of gun ??? GMAFB. Don't these naive idiots realize the street value of guns? At least guns in workable condition, which means that most gun turn ins are junk that can't be sold on the street anymore. I predict they get zero assault weapons and a bunch of old worn out, beat to hell handguns along with a couple very old cheap grade shotguns that have seen better days. They may get a couple old handguns in decent shape that some old widow wants to get rid of before she goes into the old folks home but other than that all these virtue signaling idiots are just wasting money so they can portray themselves as heroic crime fighters. I helped incinerate a lot of guns from these buybacks years ago when I worked in an incinerator and spoke with the cops from various departments who brought them in a few times a year.
