Really shows how you don't get much more for your money when buying the larger sizes

Size has nothing to do with it. Starbucks has always been a scam.

Don't know much about Starbucks, only ones around here are turnpike
service areas. And we sure don't seek them out.

My wife runs a c-store and they sell a lot of coffee.
Bought a large and an x-large one morning on the way to work.
Dumped the large into my yeti, was surprised that it filled it.
An extra large only has a little left over when I do that.

So, I dumped the extra large into the large.
There was less than an inch left when the large was full.
Despite the extra appearing a lot bigger.
A little comparing, and it was all in girth and taper.

This isn't a big chain store, they have their logo on the cups
but they aren't custom. Just a sticker on an off the rack cup.

Not really a ripoff, the are differences in size.
But darn deceptive.

The video is darn questionable, would like to have a couple of those
cups and a measuring dish video.

My thoughts exactly!

Spent another day in Yellowstone yesterday. Running low on coffee. My mistake. Stopped at one of the general stores. Plain coffee, nothing special. $3.89! I gave the nice young lady from Ecuador a $5.and she asked if I wanted to donate my change for some BS. I declined, mainly to see if she could make change. grin

Most expensive coffee I ever booth was a resturaunt/truckstop
in the woods, somewhere in Quebec.

In a truck, needed coffee.
Around 1993, so consider the times. Under a buck to fill the
travel mug then.

They charged my over $2. (Canadian, so it shouldn't have hurt as much)
I only had a $5 bill, American.
"WTF, I want coffee."

But my change was Canadian!
So I walked out with a coffee, and about $1US.
$4 for a refill!

Got in the truck laughing, sometimes you just gotta.
Time, place, my fault I didn't have the right money.

Bet the Frogs were laughing harder.
Bent that non-French speaking American over...

I saw a similar video from a baseball stadium where this was don with beer cups. Clear cups. It was obvious that the only difference was the taper and girth of the bottom of the cups.
It would be easy to go buy a couple Starbucks and try it yourself.
But not me. I've stayed away from their woke bullshit for over 5 years now.

They actually burn their coffee beans to achieve their "unique" flavor, which IMO tastes like sch itt.

Only buy Starbucks out of desperation....and then, I always get the "shorty" with one ice cube.
1) coffee is way too strong
2) coffee is way too hot
3) coffee is way too expensive
4) WAY overrated

It's a "yuppy delight" for those with more money than sense and a desire to swagger around with a "Starbucks" cup in their hand.

The burned taste is deliberate so the flavor stands up against milk. If you want a cleaner tasting coffee, get their Cafe Americano.
