45 Colt 270 grain Hard Cast Flat Point at 900 FPS from a 4 & 5/8ths " BBL



This is a wide meplat, hardcast SWC perfect for hunting typical North American game.




I recently received some data from a customer who advised that the ammo was running at approximately 950 FPS from their 7.5" Bisley.

Hard to argue with that.











But regardless, this .45 Colt load is quite accurate and John Linebaugh found a Goldilocks load with this one. Though he is not the first, he is certainly a pioneer in the handgun hunting field and deserves credit where credit is due. This is a great all around hunting load. Easy on guns, and the shooter alike.

What is the ETA on more of these .45 LC's?

Completely unknown.

I am at the mercy of the supply system and my suppliers trying to obtain certain cartridges such as .45 Colt .44 Mag/Special and .357 mag have been exceedingly difficult.


I spoke to Starline today and they would not even give an ETA for any sort of production or shipping to small manufacturers.

I do not take $$ in advance either (many have asked) as I have no way of controlling when a product will become available.

It would be nice to say the situation will get better but I don't think it will in the foreseeable future.
