That was the mild stuff. Merthiolate was the one that really sizzled on a cut.

Exactly. I was lucky, my grandad knew how to treat a wound more or less painlessly and always effectively,-- wash it out with kerosene and apply Dr. LeGear's Healing Oil.

Never heard of the Dr. LeGear's Healing Oil, but washing a cut out with kerosene was a gimme. Especially when you stuck a nail in your foot. Wouldn't even be sore the next day.

We were just as likely as not to be sprayed with the wound protector from the can inside the feed room door

Not funny at all! Makes me wanna cry.
I put too much blood, sweat, and tears into too many cars.
That’s a picture of heartbreak right there.

Both my truck and her car are 5 speeds.
I cut my teeth on iron sights, but at 56 and counting, my eyesight limits my range. Besides, this, I strive for accuracy, and I need a little magnifying at anything past 50 yards.
I got Wifey an AR, and she wanted a light up dot with no magnification.
At 100 yards, the smallest dot almost covers a 3” target.
