Ah, I hunt there too, Chase County, WIHA, mostly. Love the Flint Hills!

That's exciting, have you guys ever hunted here before?

My father drew so I'll be keeping an eye on things for him and will be on coyote patrol.
Used to be an automatic draw in my unit (with leftover tags) but not anymore. frown

I ran into some good ol' Texas boys in Osage county last year.

Some TV hunting personality had convinced 'em there was a 170" buck behind every blade of grass in Kansas. They were shocked, shocked, to see spikes, 4 pointers and sixers. laugh

S'all good my friend - suffered the same outcome three years ago and still had a ball either tagging along with my father or regulating coyotes.

Thanks Skeen . I stuck him in the last 20 minutes of the last day of an 8 day hunt on the edge of a soybean field.

Heck yes, I don't need to pull the trigger to have a great hunt with pops.

I'll still look forward to your write up for your Dad's hunt SKane. I convinced my brother to put in this year and he drew so hoping he gets an opportunity. Would as soon see him get a whack at a good one as shooting one myself.
