I love a good tripod when doing a spot and stalk Prairie Dog hunt! LRF binos are where I draw the line though... IMHO, Whether sitting out waiting for Targets of Opportunity in Texas or spot and stalk bear hunting in New Mexico or Georgia they work..... ya! GWB

I'm not big on hauling a bunch of equipment around, I have trees.

Thank you for your reply, GWB.
I get your point that can different environmental conditions end up making for totally different ways of hunting, all worth my respect.
I scan see we share the appreciation for single shot rifles. I hunt with nothing than K95s.
Best regards from Spain,
Alvaro

Have been shooting from a tripod for many years, both in NRL/PRS/NRL Hunter competition and hunting. I've used the Hog Saddles but preferred the quickness of dropping a Game Changer bag on top of the tripod and laying my rifle on top of the bag. Since Arca rails evolved I prefer to quickly clamp my rifle into the top of a tripod. Through shooting/testing i've proven to myself my groups are smaller and my POI is better with the Arca.
