Pluto was voted off the island outta the solar system.
I'm a free man, able to make up my own mind.
Pluto was a planet.
Pluto still is a planet.
Pluto will always be a planet.
When I die, they can change it. Then I could GAS.

That stale old wish died along with the 60's hippy utopia crap..
There is still nothing whatsoever wrong with nubile young beauties dancing to the song though.
My wife would probably laugh at the insanity of it.....................but......................
could you send me that VW busload of chickies at about 3:18 in that video?

Thread kind of makes me want to break the scope out. I haven't had it out of the bag in years now. I used to do a lot of planetary viewing, but once my kid got to walking age I didn't really trust that many dollars worth of glass around him.
He's old enough it wouldn't be a problem now, but I just sort of lost interest after so many years not using it. 🤷♂️

Same boat. Had an old Orion 90mm refractor, nothing fancy. Life kinda took over and having to drive hours(Phoenix metro) for dark skies became a chore. Ended up selling everything pennies on the dollar many years ago. I still very much enjoy it and can sit and stare in awe when out camping/hunting.
I've still got all my gear, just haven't used it in 4-5 years now. I've got an Orion 150mm Mak-Cas and a VersaGo tripod. The tripod is a little light for that tube, but I had started off with a 90mm tube, and just never got a better one when I upgraded to the 150. The downside to the 150 is it takes FOREVER to equalize temp from inside the house.... solid hour, sometimes more around 90 min on a warmer night.
I live out in the sticks, so I've got fairly dark skies, except to the north where there's light wash from Chicago, but the wind farm they put up out behind my place 10-ish years ago makes looking at low horizon stuff a real pain in the azz with all those red blinking lights at night.

Nice setup. As all the Phoenix suburbs expanded, I had to get further and further out. Along with all my hunting grounds, the big city non-stop expansion ruined everything I enjoy, hence my move back home to N AZ.
