Round 3 of Chemo Camp ended yesterday.
By the time I got home, I was spent. The effects of the poisoning are cumulative, so every round gets worse. On top of everything else, they got worried that I was retaining too much water and gave me Lasix. I was up every hour pissing. Right now, I'm living from one dose of the anti-nausea drug to the next. What it's counteracting is not nausea, it's . . . it's poisoning.
It'll get worse before it gets better. However, I knew this all going into it. For as lousy as I feel, at least I know everything is on track.

Life comes at you fast.
Overnight Saturday things worsened. I was still feeling the Lasix and having to pee every hour, but shortly before midnight, I got weak and rubbery-legged and was having trouble standing. By 0300, I could not lift my head off the pillow. I was coughing and passing out.
KYHillChick schlepped me up to the ER. They were originally thinking stroke. They scanned my head and took a bunch of labs. It turned out that I've got COVID. 'HillChick probably has it too. They sent me home with Paxlovid, a new anti-viral. After one dose, I could find start to see improvement. I'm on the mend.
